3 Suspending a member access through **Brivo Member Maintenance** is a very useful tool for our Brivo facilities. By being able to **Suspend** a members access in **Brivo**, it will let the card still be attached to the member while not giving the member access to the facility.

5 Below is a lesson on **How to Suspend a Member's Access through Brivo Member Maintenance**.

10 The first step to **Suspend a Member** in the new **Brivo Member Maintenance** is to go to the members **Brivo Member Maintenance** page.

12 You can access this two ways on the **Operations**page - by going directly to **Brivo Members** or by going onto the **Member Profile** for the member (pictured above).

19 Once you have **Brivo Member Maintenance**, you will see that the member has a **Brivo Status** of **Active**. This will need to change to **Suspend**.

21 On the right side you will see a link that says **Suspend**. Run you mouse to that link and select it.

26 Now that you have selected the **Suspend** link a confirm screen will appear asking if you are sure you would like to **Suspend** access for the member. Please run your mouse and select **Yes**.

31 Now that you have selected **Yes** you will see a message on the top appear informing you that the member has been **Suspended** and does not have access at this time.

33 You will also notice the **Brivo Status** of **Suspended**. The member will not have access into the facility until the members status is **Reinstated.**
